Our Underground House

Last week my cousin, Suzy Giles, prompted me for more information about our house.  I scanned 55 pictures from our house album to get this started.  Now that I am started, I realize that this story could be a whole book.  I don’t have time to write a book and you probably don’t have time to read one… (read more)

Snow finally arrived to protect plants from cold temperatures. We had the cars outfitted with snow tires and emergency supplies. Then, suddenly, it all seems to be over. The snow… (read more)

Winter Slow Down

Our first few months of operation have been very successful.  So much so that we are suspending our tasting room’s weekly open hours on Saturdays.  Until more wine stops working and gets bottled, we need to slow down.  There is still wine available but please call 509-738-6155 if you would like to schedule a tasting.

Upgrades

It’s the end of/beginning of the year which calls for some introspection, retrospection and indigestion. We are finally getting the snow that eluded us up till now. But we knew it was coming and should be prepared. Personally, I bought more than the usual amount of firewood. It is very dry but with a lot… (read more)
